Natural and Incredible Ways To Whiten Teeth at Home

Having pearly white teeth are like everybody’s dream. Unfortunately, the teeth is the only part of the human body that cannot actually repair itself so almost every human being suffers from a lot of problems when it comes to their teeth, whether you are a child who is having trouble with cavities or an adult who needs to get a fill, teeth will always be a part of our life. People spend so much money when it comes to having their teeth bleached or making the teeth whiter. Some go to their dentist to have it, but there are also some who gets teeth whitening products in the market. But then these products contain chemicals that is not really good for us. So if you want an easy, but safe way to whiten your teeth, here are some natural ways to do it.

#1 Brush Your Teeth With – Baking Soda

We all know that baking soda has a lot of benefits, not just for the body, but for other stuffs as well just like cleaning the house. But one of the most amazing things baking soda can do is to help when it comes to whitening the teeth. Some toothpastes actually have baking soda as an ingredient because it can help scrub away stains on the teeth and also helps prevent bacteria from growing inside the mouth.

IMG_5437However, there is no scientific proof that it can actually do wonders with your teeth, but there are studies that show how effective it is to mix your toothpaste with baking soda because it helps remove the yellow stains on the teeth. So the toothpaste that has baking soda as an ingredient can actually remove plaque from the teeth compared to those toothpaste who doesn’t have baking soda.

If you want to go naturally, you can simply get a teaspoon of baking soda and add 2 teaspoons of water so it would look like a paste and then you can do this a couple of times a week for better results.

#2 Brush Your Teeth With – Apple Cider Vinegar

As a disinfectant, Apple cider vinegar is used for decades because it is considered to be a natural cleansing product that contains acetic acid which is its main ingredient. Its antibacterial property, is the on responsible for killing the bacteria in the month and it is very useful when it comes to whitening the teeth.

IMG_5434It was once tested on cows and it turns out that apple cider has a bleaching factor that can help remove stain on the teeth. However, apple cider vinegar has can make your teeth, soft and might easily break so it is not really advisable to use this often like every single day. But you can still use this as a mouthwash just mix it with water and wash your mouth for a few minutes with it. Just keep in mind to use clean water afterwards.

#3 Brush Your Teeth With – Strawberries

Digesting fruits is very healthy for our body, but it can also be used for teeth whitening. So if you are out in the wild and you forgot to bring your toothbrush, just cut up some strawberries to brush your teeth with.

Or you could mix baking soda and strawberries, which is an idea from celebrities. Malic acid, which can be found in strawberries, can help with the discoloration of your teeth, hence make it whiter. However, there is no proven study that backs up this so it is not advisable to do it more than once a week.

#4 Brush Your Teeth With – Hydrogen Peroxide

Now this, without a doubt, kills bacteria in the mouth. It is even used to disinfect wounds and a lot of products in the market contains hydrogen peroxide, but again, there is no scientific evidence that this can actually help whiten the teeth when used alone.

But there is one study that shows how the teeth got whiter with a toothpaste mixed with some baking powder and hydrogen peroxide. Although, it is safe to try, too much hydrogen peroxide can irritate your gums and can actually make your teeth go weak. You can still use it as a mouthwash, though, but don’t make it too often.
